Player Spotlight: Sophia Read Shines at the Jeremiah Green Invitational

Among the many talents on display at the Jeremiah Green Invitational, one player who truly stood out was Sophia Reed from Prosper Rock Hill.

A member of the class of 2027, Sophia showcased a versatile offensive arsenal that turned heads all weekend.

What sets Sophia apart is her ability to create her own shot.

Whether it was a pull-up jumper, a smooth drive to the rim, or confidently knocking down threes, she made it all look effortless.

Even as the level of competition rose, Sophia’s game only elevated, highlighting her natural feel for getting to her spots and creating space under pressure.

Looking ahead, the next step in Sophia’s development is to expand her role into a floor general.

While she’s already proven she can score at will, adding the ability to orchestrate the offense and consistently set the table for her teammates will take her game to the next level.

With her tremendous upside, there’s little doubt Sophia is on track for collegiate success, and I look forward to following her journey this upcoming high school season.
